As the Creative and Design Executive, I conceptualized and executed product and model photoshoots and image post-production for Mast Kalandar, an Indian handicrafts and apparel brand that blends the traditional skills of artisans with modern forms.
Over the entirety of my two-year collaboration with them, my role encompassed:
- Communicating with the marketing team to understand product positioning in order to optimise engagement through visual design.
- Conceptualizing and executing product and model photoshoots including art direction and photography.
- Image post-production, including photo editing and colour correction.
I also got the opportunity to assist the core design team in the process of product design.
On that front, my role encompassed:
- Ideating with rural artisans to contemporize their traditional crafts and create innovative products.
- Ensuring clear communication between the internal design team and the artisans.
